Baked Salmon Steaks

Ingredients:
2 salmon steaks, about 2-inch thick
1 1/2 tbsp fresh thyme, dill and oregano, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, grated
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
In a small bowl, combine chopped herbs, garlic lemon juice and olive oil. Gently brush on both sides of salmon. Season with salt and pepper. Place salmon on a lightly greased baking dish or pan.
Bake in a preheated 400°F for 22 to 25 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes&Tips:
Salmon Steaks are hard to come by where I live. So whenever, I come across it I don't hesitate to procure it. These Steaks were fresh and big. The two steaks served my family of 4 and it was hearty eating.
Salmon is such a delicious and fatty fish that it does not require much seasoning - salt and pepper is just fine. For this Baked Salmon Steak, I added some fresh herbs, garlic and lemon juice.
A simple side dish with a salad makes this Baked Salmon Steak a wonderful recipe. Side dishes that works well with this recipe include, baked asparagus, steamed green beans, boiled garlic potatoes, etc. the list is endless.
