Deconstructed Salad

Ingredients:
Romaine/Artisan Lettuce
Avocado/Orange/Apple or Cucumber/mini peppers
Olives, optional
Dried Cranberries, optional
Walnuts, optional
Wash and dry lettuce. Place on a serving platter.
Cut fruit into slices (Chop cucumber and peppers). Add to platter.
If using cranberries and nuts, place in a bowl and add to platter.
Serve with your favorite dressing.
Notes&Tips:
I love making this salad as I don't have to chop or tear lettuce leaves. It saves me time. I also enjoy serving it this rugged as I find a certain enjoyment in taking only what I want.
This salad works well for our family as 3 persons do not use dressing, 1 uses oil and lemon juice, and 1 uses dressing.
A deconstructed salad allows each person to customize his/her salad.
There are many combinations with a deconstructed salad; it is only limited by your imagination.
I ensure I have lettuce and then add fruits and vegetables that are in the refrigerator. It's a good way to use up fruits and vegetables before they go bad.
