Tuna Salad with Fresh Herbs

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans Wild Planet tuna in water

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped mixed herbs: rosemary, sage, thyme, oregon

  • 2 tsp chopped chives

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • salt & pepper to taste

  1. Drain tuna and place in a medium sized bowl.

  2. Heat oil in a small pan on medium-low heat. Add chopped herbs and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.

  3. Add sautéed herbs, chopped chives, mustard and salt and pepper to tuna. Gently fold to combine.

  4. Serve on butter lettuce leaves, bread or baguette, or with crackers.

Serves: 4 to 6


Notes&Tips:

  • Tuna Salad is one of my favorite lunch ideas. I can eat it everyday and not get tired of it. And the reason is that you can make a tuna salad is so many ways and serve it with so many different things that it feels like a whole new meal every time you eat it.

  • I love herbs in my cooking and like to use them in every meal that I cook. In this dish, I've used an abundance of herbs to flavor this Herbed Tuna Salad. It was delicious and fresh!

  • Serve Tuna Salad with Fresh Herbs in a wrap, on crusty bread, or crackers.
