Notes&Tips:
When winter seem to last a year, like here in the mid-west, we long for summer; and since the grill is buried in snow, we have to find a way to eat some summer food to shorten the season!
Any combination of spices could be used to rub on these legs.
Allowing the seasonings time to soak into the chicken, makes for a tastier bite.
To check that chicken is done, I always insert a toothpick at the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone. The juices are supposed to run clear. Or insert a meat thermometer; reading should be 165-170°F.
I used a grill pan with a tray for the drippings. If you use a sheet pan, drain fat away before brushing with barbecue sauce.
I baked my potatoes in the microwave as they were the smaller russet potatoes. They were done in 15 minutes, turning once.
