Ingredients:
1 lb. wild caught tuna steaks
salt & pepper to taste
For Vinaigrette:
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp minced parsley
1 tsp fresh thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp mustard powder
Whisk together, 2 tbsp olive oil, lime juice, parsley, thyme 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, onion powder and mustard powder. Set aside.
Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat skillet on medium high. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, cook tuna for 2 minutes per sides.
Plate steaks and drizzle with vinaigrette. Serve.
Serves: 4
Notes&Tips:
These tuna steaks were 1" thick and cooked up quickly. Making the vinaigrette took more time than cooking the steaks!
The vinaigrette was very delicious and tasted fresh and light - like how summer feels in the Midwest!
Serve this with some grilled corn or asparagus or just a green salad for a light dinner.
And don't forget, leave me a comment after you make this for dinner/lunch!
