Maple Butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 6 tbsp butter - unsalted

  • a pinch of cinnamon

  • a pinch of all spice

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat.

  2. Whisk in maple syrup, cinnamon and all spice.

Yield: about 3/4 cup.

Notes&Tips:

  • I wanted to have something other than butter or brown sugar on my baked sweet potato, and this was a excellent substitute. Not that baked sweet potato (BSP) need anything added to taste good! Most of the time I eat my BSP plain as it's always so good; and I like the natural taste.

  • Drizzle this Maple Butter over waffles, pancakes, french toast, fruit, etc. There's a whole host of ways to consume it. Even the original Cheerios (which I love) that does not have a ton of sugar baked into it. You will find a whole host of uses for Maple Butter that you didn't even know existed.

  • This keeps well in the refrigerator. Be sure to whisk before serving.
