Ingredients:
3 cup stemmed and pitted sour cherries
1 to 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup lemon juice
6 cups water
ice for serving
Place cherries, sugar and lemon juice in a blender. Blend on high until smooth. If you'd prefer a pulp-free drink, strain before adding water.
In a large pitcher, add water and cherry syrup. Stir to combine.
Pour lemonade into glasses with ice.
Yields: about 10 8-oz glasses
Notes&Tips:

This Sour Cherry Lemonade makes use of sour cherries that have a very short bearing season - usually from late June until mid-July.
This is one way to enjoy a cooling drink with fruits that you harvest right out of your backyard. There is that great feeling one gets from consuming something that they were a part of growing.
The blending cherry syrup can also be used to make a slushy or smoothie.
